La mia odierna segnalazione è per le nominations della Broadcast Film Crics Association, di cui fanno parte circa 250 critici cinematografici delle maggiori testate giornalistiche statunitensi. A guardare le nominations sotto indicate, risulta difficile pensare che le scelte dell'Academy Awards il prossimo 10 Gennaio possano essere tanto diverse. Putroppo poche sono le novità, per chi come me, più che alla corsa all'Oscar, è interessato a cercare, attraverso questi premi e/o nominations, segnalazioni di titoli (oltre a quelli distribuiti e già amati) da vedere e non mancare in sala. Ad ogni modo,di fatto mi è possibile ormai fare qualche breve considerazione. Con rammarico guardo innanzitutto all'esclusione, anche in chiave Oscar evidentemente, dell'ingegnoso Nolan e del Suo funereo e tragico "Il Cavaliere oscuro il Ritorno" . Con altrettanto dispiacere noto che "Lo Hobbit" non ha affatto colpito la critica americana, entusiasta invece a suo tempo della trilogia del Signore degli Anelli: e ciò in parte mi preoccupa in vista dell'imminente visione al cinema. Nessuna mia sorpresa invece per l'assenza di Croneneberg e del Suo (amatississimo in Francia) "Cosmopolis", visto che in pratica non è stato distribuito o quasi in USA: manco con la faccia pallida di Robert Pattinson ci son riusciti ! Difficile,o meglio, impossibile, votare un film che non si è potuto vedere! Sotto le attese, anche il riscontro nei confronti di "Django Unchained" di Tarantino (sorprende l'assenza di tutto il cast, DiCaprio incluso) mentre"The Master" ottiene sì ben 7 nominations ma non (a caso) quella al regista Paul Thomas Anderson. Brutto segno. Per inciso sono comunque i film da me più attesi, insieme a "Zero Dark Thirty" della Bigelow, che (dopo esser stata premiata l'altro ieri anche dai critici di Boston ) qui ottiene "solo" 5 nominations, tutte però pesanti. Ad uscire come vincitore dalla serata è invece, manco a dirlo, Steven Spielberg, che con il Suo "Lincoln" ottiene il numero record di 13 nominations. Molto apprezzati anche "Les Miserables" di Hooper (11) ,"Silver Lining Playboock" (10 tra cui il "Bob"), "Life of Pi" (9), "Argo" (7 e ne sono felice) e "Skyfall" (7 e anche qui ne sono felice). Tra i migliori film anche gli indipendenti Moonrise Kingdom(che devo ancora riuscire a vedere)e Beasts of the Southern Wild (che probabilmente mai riuscirò a vedere).
